We provide a wide range of therapeutic professional services to meet your needs. From assisted activities to therapeutic outcomes, we cater for a wide range of private and professional referrals for individuals and small groups of children, young people and adults
Therapeutic Specialists
We are a specialist team who have a wide variety of relevant qualifications, that aim to offer a range of well-being and therapeutic services meeting the needs of a diverse set of children, young people and young adults. We appreciate that as you are on our site reading this information, you may be having some difficulties or supporting someone who does. With this in mind, we have broken down our information as simply as possible, however if you experience any area of confusion, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Our Ethos
In brief, we believe strongly in the science and statistics for Eco Therapy and the benefits that being outdoors can bring to our health and wellbeing. It has been proven that spending time in nature can support mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression.
We are based in 6.4 acres of woodland and farmland, with Eco opportunities in abundance. We have over 50 different species of animals, including a small herd of horses for supporting animal assisted activities and therapy. Outdoor health and education specialisms include Animals, Bushcraft, Adventure Sport, Archery, Tree Climbing, Gymnastics, Non Contact Boxing, Low Ropes, Conservation, gardening and much more. Interventions which are based outdoors like ours, are known as 'Eco Interventions' and you can read in more detail about this term in its own area on our website.
Our 'Outcome Assisted Therapies' or 'Assisted Activities' can incorporate the above specialisms. Our 'Assessment Stage' will help us to work with you to identify your interests and determine a suitable therapy model. An example of this, could be undertaking CBT as the Outcome model, with the specialism of Equine Therapy embedded. Working through behaviour and thought patterns, whilst decompressing with our herd as opposed to a clinical four wall space.
Outcome Assisted Therapy Sessions will be structured to work towards pre-set goals over a set period and number of sessions (usually a minimum of 12) and are led by a qualified member of the team with existing therapy specialisms or a Clinical Associate in Psychology apprentice.
Assisted Activity sessions are non-outcome which are for recreational and mental wellbeing benefit. These sessions are led by experienced staff and the aim is to provide opportunities for service users to express themselves in a safe and secure environment and improve their self esteem and experience a sense of calm in an overstimulating world. The session structure around Assisted Activity sessions is flexible, they do not need to have a minimum or a maximum duration. Many service users have one each week to support their wellbeing and others just access Assisted Activities in the school holidays.

Outcome Assisted Therapy Sessions will be structured to work towards preset goals over a set period and number of sessions (usually a minimum of 12) and are led by a qualified member of the team with existing therapy specialisms and proven experience in the determined model.
Relaxation Therapy
The term 'Relaxation' suggests a state of ease which is characterised by limited body tension and freedom from unnecessary worries and fears. Relaxation therapy involves a set of sessions led by a therapist where the client is educated and supported to learn various techniques that enable them to make changes to their physical and mental state to aid relaxation, in every-day life.
Therapeutic Re-Engagement

This model supports home schools where young people may be struggling with their full time placement or NEET young people who may need specialist therapeutic support to return to education

CBT
CBT Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is evidence based therapy to support service users to change thoughts and behaviours.
Articulate and Art Therapy
Articulate enables trained staff to use art safely and effectively as a communication tool when supporting young people with a range of issues, such as trust and relationship building and emotional literacy.
Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses visual and tactile media as a means of self expression and communication. Our Art therapists aim to support our service users to discover an outlet for often complex and confusing feelings, and foster self awareness and growth
The Assessment
The Assessment
Regardless of the service that you are interested in, our first step starts with the assessment. The assessment stage is an important part of accessing our services in order that we can fully assess the needs of the service user prior to commencing sessions with us. This is part consultation via an online assessment and part trial via a practical assessment to fully assess the service user along with their caregiver or professional (if under 18, or if over 18 but requires support). The assessment stage is a fact-finding process for us to identify if we can meet needs and also provides opportunity for the service user to confirm they wish to engage in further sessions. The assessment is a stand-alone fee whereby service users and parents/carers can decide if they wish to proceed further following assessment.
If you are interested in accessing any of our services, either for yourself or someone in your care, there are 5 easy steps to follow. Our assessment process is efficient and ensures that all the relevant information can be gathered to provide an appropriate service.
All service users will be required to have an assessment before starting their sessions with us, and whilst we take on board the wishes of the service user, we do reserve the right to formulate an offer based on our views and how we can meet their needs.
What Assessment Type Do I Need?
For anyone interested in attending for therapy or therapeutic hourly services they will be required to book our shorter assessment which includes a short online assessment form, followed by a 30 minute practical visit assessment to us prior to booking sessions (maximum of two caregivers welcome to join for the assessment).
For professionals wishing to refer to our day service models including our Re-engagement service, the assessment is a half hour online forms and an hour practical.
For professionals wishing to refer to our therapeutic Alternative Provision ADO Fusion for education, the minimum requirement is 2 days per week and the assessment requires online assessment and a 2 day funded practical assessment onsite.
